Three and a half years ago, I moved to Pineville to build a life with my wonderful husband, Rob, a man who loves God above all else with my lovely daughter, Xid. Though I was excited for this new chapter, I arrived as the “new girl.”
At the time, I was passionately pouring my heart into my agency, IDES (I Do Expert Solutions), helping businesses grow through websites and automation.
But the reality is that starting a business in a new place where nobody knows your name is hard. It can be incredibly isolating.
Yet, in that season of building from the ground up, I was profoundly blessed. I didn’t have to walk that road alone because a remarkable group of local women took me under their wings. Women like Madeline Westberry, Sylvia Coody, Brenda Sartin, Doris Williams, Sharee Renee Cameron, and Alice Marie Setliff didn’t just welcome me—they championed me.
That is the exact “why” behind Women of Cenla.
I created this platform—and now, this publication—to do for you what those incredible women did for me. I want this to be a space where we open doors for one another, celebrate each other’s victories, and ensure that no woman in our community ever feels like she has to build her dream alone.
In God’s grace and in solidarity with you,
